I feel like it's been a while and I have a few new blog followers so I thought I’d reintroduce myself! ⠀
⠀
I’m Heather and I write romantic Jane Austen variations. I take our favorite characters and give them new challenges but still get them to the HEA, and with more kissing. I started writing ten years ago and never intended to publish a thing. I have a masters in archives and records management and was a librarian, so I LOVE research. Bring on Regency-era details. Don't worry: only a fraction of what I learn ends up on the page. ⠀
⠀
Things I love: #GeorgianJewelry, loose leaf tea, bowling, scotch whisky, baking, P&P 95, the Peak District, volunteering in the school library, the Mandalorian.
⠀
I live with: My engineer husband, my ASD/ADHD middle schooler, and a cat with more emotional intelligence than some humans.⠀
⠀
Things I hate: Picking something to stream while I walk on the treadmill, migraines that knock me out for days at a time, coming up with dinner ideas, grade school math homework⠀
⠀
My bookshelf: I borrow more books than I buy. I mostly read historical mysteries and if it’s a series with a slow burn romance then I’m a happy camper. I also read biographies and memoirs, and whatever contemporary romance or mystery that catches my eye.⠀

Share with me something you love, something you hate, or something you like to read!

I do like mysteries and when an author writes one in the JAFF genre I will usually read it. I used to read more "historical romances" but since discovering JAFF am usually focusing on P&P variations. I attend church and Bible Study via ZOOM. I have a lot of physical issues, i.e., open heart surgery in 2017, now in remission from Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, and non-insulin diabetes just to name a few. I do walk on my treadmill for 1 hour and 20 minutes per day unless it is nice outside and then I walk 50 minutes (over the day) on the treadmill and around our neighborhood for the rest.
